My Style

September 9, 2015

Have you ever been so frustrated because you’ve done something more than once and you keep repeating the same mistake? So frustrated that you kept away all your fabric and even covered your sewing machine? No? I have made quite a number of skirts to consider myself an expert. Or.So.I.Thought.  The last two skirts I made didn’t fit me. One was too big and the other one too small. I was so frustrated to the point I just cleared my table. And those were the two skirts I was planning on showcasing this week. They were so freaking beautiful. I promise. I’ll even remake one cause it’s such a keeper. I put so much effort into that one!

Anyway when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade! More so, some Artcaffe lemonade!(Because they have the best lemonade I have ever tasted. And trust me I know my lemonades) So yes, I ended up putting together this piece featuring of course, one of my own skirts. One that I wasn’t initially planning on featuring on the blog but here we are. I really fell in love with this fabric when I first saw it and we’ve been together ever since 😉

I decided to pair it with a mellow colour and I feel like they go so well together. Although I’m all for colour, this is definitely something I would wear over and over again!

Happy Hump Day!

Shirt – Thrifted (Toi)

Shoes – Mr. Price

Bag – “Borrowed” from my sister

Haha…. I’m sure a couple of months down the line I’ll look back and really laugh. I’ll keep the skirts as a reminder of my beginning 🙂
